Stitch It, Don’t Ditch It: Denim Mending Workshop with White Weft 

 

Learn how to mend rips on your jeans with simple but striking hand stitched techniques. Denim experts White Weft will share tips and hacks to make sure your handiwork not only looks impressive but also holds up! 

 

White Weft is a London-based futuristic denim design studio offering circular design for brands, expert repairs, and creative upcycling, founded by former Wrangler head designer Janelle Hanna. Driven by a passion for circular economy and countering fast fashion's impact, Janelle believes in extending denim lifespan.  

 

Workshop timings: 

  • Friday 16th May at 6:30pm 
  • Saturday 17th May at 6:30pm 
  • Sunday 18th May at 12:00pm  

 

Workshop FAQs 

Do I need to bring a denim item to repair? 

This is optional! You can bring an item and if it's suitable for the techniques we're teaching you can work on it, but if you don't have anything to bring, we'll provide samples to work on. 

  

Do I need to know how to sew? 

No, the workshop is suitable for complete beginners. It’s a hand sewing workshop so no sewing machine experience is needed either. 

  

What materials are provided?

We'll provide everything, needles, threads, fabrics etc.
